TaniA Kyllikki Explores Humanity and Acceptance in New EDM Single “HUMAN”
TaniA Kyllikki’s “HUMAN” Brings a Message of Unity to Techno-House.

TaniA Kyllikki and her husband, producer Rynellton, try something you don’t hear every day on “HUMAN.” They put soul vocals on top of a techno-house beat and use it to talk about sympathy and how we treat each other. The song started after Kyllikki got fed up with the nastiness she kept seeing on social media, and it turned into a wider question about why people forget they have more in common than they think.
The two halves of the song come from very different places. Rynellton’s track is all steady electronic beats and hazy, moody synths. Kyllikki’s voice comes straight from gospel and soul, and she sings as the message matters to her, going from soft, close-up lines to big notes that fill the room. A dance beat under a song about prejudice sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it does. You end up nodding and listening to the words at the same time.
TaniA Kyllikki and Rynellton Call for More Kindness With “HUMAN.”

The lyrics deal with judgement, racism, and the labels people stick on each other because of where they come from. Kyllikki doesn’t preach. She asks what being human actually means and how we’re supposed to get along, and leaves you to think about it. Anyone who has read the comments under a news post lately will get why she wrote it.
Kyllikki has also been dealing with serious health problems that have kept her away from studios and gigs. She still records at home, with Rynellton producing, and knowing that makes the song hit a little harder.
“HUMAN” isn’t a typical soul song and it isn’t a typical dance track either. It’s catchy enough to play at a party and sincere enough that you might think twice before typing your next angry reply online.
