Mountain Climer's "Paper Gowns" was not supposed to be urgent! But somewhere along the production, ballad found its heartbeat.

Mountain Climber has released a new touching single, "Paper Gowns." It is a part of their next album, "Before You Turn Out the Lights." The album is produced by Paul Mahern. Originally, Jeremy Climer had written "Paper Gowns" as a ballad. But, in the process of production, Mahern increased the tempo to add a certain urgency and emotional intensity to the song. This song was recorded spontaneously based on the voice memo drafts that Climer had come to studio with. The song deals with the themes of the burden of choices people face, passage of time and emotional vulnerability.
"A unique song with urgent yet atmospheric feel."
"Paper Gowns" features well-known musicians like, Heidi Lynne Gluck at bass, Shannon Hayden at cello, Devon Ashley at drums, and David England at guitar. Though this band was newly formed, they have a strong chemistry, that feels like decades old. The song has subtly sweet instrumentation, that balances the weighty content in the lyrics. "Paper Gowns" is a part of a crowdfunding campaign. Mountain Climer has continued to evolve his sound by blending alternative rock genre with emotional storytelling. He has surely created something timeless and personal!
