“Torn” - A cry of a lost soul through a rock opera with raw lyrics, can be heard from the new single by Cries of Redemption.

Cries of Redemption (COR) is a rock music project built by guitarist and composer Ed Silva in 2007. The project combines elements of Nu-Metal, film music, trance and experimental rock. It stands for a musical style that is entirely different from others. Since nothing else matters to Ed but the music, he draws on two decades of musical experience to achieve his goal of making music rooted in feeling and sincerity rather than the latest fads or online popularity. COR has, over the years, become a well-known global indie project while still maintaining its very personal and steadfast artistic vision.
"Torn" is a return to music; it embraces raw music and emotional singing.

The song quickly evokes a rough and absorbing mood. The return of Billy "Sriracha" Babcock to lead guitar brings an extra layer of passion, playing not only great riffs but also beautiful melodic solos which raise the emotional level of the song with a natural and fresh feeling. The playing is not only well thought out but also very alive and musical.
As for the vocals, "Torn" goes hand in hand with the musical journey of the group, expressing the feelings of strength. Through the production work of Kevin Rose, which has kept the live feel of the instrumentation, the song gains a richness and a kind of realness that is seldom present in contemporary rock pieces. If one listens carefully to the lyrics, one can notice that the lyrics are more provocative than the rest of the song. Though rock music still dominates the ballad, that is why the rock ballad is more powerful.
Really, the biggest reason why "Torn" is effective is that it is honest. I mean, without the lure of trends, Cries of Redemption has emphasised the art itself, feelings, and self-expression. The upshot of this is that the song, in a sense, has no time limit, energising, and very true.
