Updated: Aug 13

Entering the Spanish world of music, Michellar has dropped a bomb, and you are about to be blown away!
Michellar

"Aunque sea por una noche" is a heartwarming song made with just one purpose: spreading love. The track explores the theme of fleeting love and the lasting impact it can have on one's life, and makes you realize how love is the foundation of humans, and has shaped your life the way it is right now.

We got a chance to interview Michellar for this song, and we found a lot of unspoken tales!

Let's get started:

  1. What was the main influence you had when you started this journey?

My main influence when I started this journey was my mother. Even though she has been gone for some time, she always believed that whatever I put myself into, I will do well. That belief has kept me going in all of my Artistic ventures.

  2. Is there any message you would like to give the audience that might impact them regarding this track?

That Love lives eternally in anyone’s soul once love touches them.

  3. This is your first Spanish release. What was the purpose behind shifting to another language?

I wanted to honor my heritage … coming from a Spanish /Filipino background, with great grandparents from Spain … I felt that the Latin blood and influence is deeply ingrained inside my being, that when I write songs, it shines through in the most unexpected places.

  4. What drives you to create music every day? We feel every artist has that one thing that inspires them.

What drives me is the connection that I get from listeners who have the same experiences and thoughts that I have.

  5. What impact has love had on your life, since the theme of the track is the same?

Love keeps me going … without that, life is empty, and so will the stories be.

  6. What do you feel while creating your tracks? What does your creative process look like?

Creating the tracks comes from a spiritual place.

There is no space for fear … just a deep dive into the unknown. When a song comes through melody and lyrics …. At a time of reflection and introspection, the song resonates with the pure expression of my emotions. After writing all of these down, it gets developed by my producers through collaboration.

  7. How did you decide that you wanted this record to be filled with warmth and comfort, and not any other expression?

Warmth and comfort bring happiness to one’s soul. Is there anything else more important?

  8. Who are the artists that make you feel like the music industry is worth being a part of?

I am inspired by so many artists throughout my lifetime. Artists from all kinds of genres … Carole King, The Carpenters, Air Supply, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, John Denver, U2, Coldplay, and The Police are just a few to name a few. Latin artists such as Xavier Cugat, Gloria Estefan, Andrea Bocelli, and Santana are also very inspiring.

I am happy and honored to be sharing this musical journey with all of them.
