Matthias Lindner's "Nenya": A soft neoclassical guitar journey.

By means of tender speech, instrument harmonies, Matthias Lindner turns plainness into passion.

Matthias Lindner - Nenya

Matthias Lindner, born in Lower Saxony, Germany, is a classical guitarist and composer by training and is known for his reflective instrumental guitar music. Lindner uses poems, nature, and art as his starting points and composes emotive, sensitive neoclassical pieces with very fine melodies. More than 400 pieces have been composed by him; besides, more than 100 recordings are already accessible via streaming platforms. He evidences an extremely high level of artistic output and uniformity through the works he has produced. In general, he creates music during the night and afterwards transcribes the same by hand.

Nenya could be described as soft, contemplative guitar music that leads the listener to a hidden story, drawing inspiration from poems, nature, and art, and creating an expressive, musical way.

Matthias Lindner thus can infuse each of his compositions with a personal and reflective atmosphere. Nenya is a very lovely, restrained instrumental piece revealing Matthias Lindner's skill to transform a mere concept into a profoundly moving emotional experience. The guitar conversation seems very natural and intimate; meanwhile, the setting leads to a tranquil, almost meditative atmosphere. Lindner doesn't show off any passionate turns; instead, he takes care of the smooth progression of music and silence, and as a result, the piece seems very thought-provoking.
