Hype is a work that brings technical brilliance to the emotional level of pure momentum.

Decadent Heroes is the solo project of Italian guitarist Luigi Chiappini from Pescara. He mainly plays instrumental rock fused with ambient pop to make beautiful, melodic, passionate music, at the same time virtuoso and atmospheric. Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, and Jeff Beck have been major influences on him, but he still manages to merge highly skilled guitar playing techniques with deeply expressive storytelling. Luis was in various bands along the way, like Ruvido Assenzio, Smokin Steps, and Plastic Ash, besides his solo work.
Hype is the track that most recently noticed the outward musical gesture of Decadent Heroes, which takes a core psychological theme of anticipation and turns it into a sound experiment.

Based on the fact that they didn't develop the tune by merely speeding up or demonstrating technical virtuosity, the song reveals the character of its personality through the choices of scales (dorian, phrygian dominant, natural minor, and pentatonic) made cleverly, each one of them presenting a different character: tension, hope, melancholy, and excitement, respectively. The outcome is that the track is a beautiful story with a very natural progression from tension to victory, just like in a film.
Luigi Chiappini's guitar playing in the piece is undoubtedly one of the biggest focuses. Normally, it echoes the facial expression of how a singer sings with his voice, but also the same with the guitar, how it is done using expressive vibratos and longer melodic lines, which makes the style of Joe Satriani, while the author still retains in full his unique personality. The guitar tone, warm, clear, and wide, is able to be heard apart from the other instruments without being overpowering.
The element that really puts Hype on another level is its storytelling ability. It seems that every part was very carefully thought out so that the music could lead the listener through emotions of heightened anticipation followed by abundant release.
