"Halfway To Everywhere" is a poetic release, yet very simple.

Updated: Aug 1

The Parachute Testers' "Halfway To Everywhere" feels like a track made for the word "longing" — may it be for a place, a person, or a feeling.
The Parachute Testers

This latest release by The Parachute Testers has a soft, welcoming vibe to it, which makes you feel like getting a warm hug. From the very beginning, the artist sets a calm and clear atmosphere with the song's mellow, laid-back rhythm. The song is perfect to listen to in a garden setting, daydreaming, away from all the chaos.

We got a chance to interview The Parachute Testers for this song, and we found a lot of unspoken tales! Let's get started:

  1. What was the main influence you had when you started this journey?

The magic of songwriting and creativity and a deep love of music.

  2. The song has a very welcoming vibe to it. How did you manage to pull that off with such a sensitive theme?

Thanks, I think the key is all about feeling, right from the initial idea through to the final mix, go with your instincts and if it feels good and true to you then listeners will most likely feel that too.

  3. What drives you to create music every day? We feel every artist has that one thing that inspires them.

The feeling you get from being able you express your thoughts, feelings and ideas through music and words.

  4. How did the idea of making this track come to you?

The chord sequence was hanging around for a long time and then I heard someone say the phrase it’s ‘Halfway To Everywhere’ Once we put the two together then everything followed...

  5. Almost all your songs have a serene touch to them. Is that something you feel is your signature element?

Cheers! A cocktail of Claire O’s vocals mixed with a musical backdrop of feelings and emotions.

  6. What do you feel while creating your tracks? How does your creative process look like?

The creative process is always an adventure, seeing where you can take the song, discovering new paths, some you follow and don’t work and others lead to places that feel just right. Sometimes you race ahead and get where you want to go easily, other times you have to take a rest and rethink your plans! The creative journey is never dull!

  7. Why the title, "Halfway To Everywhere?" Is there a story behind it, and if yes, then what?

It was a phrase I heard and really liked, It’s all about the feeling of possibility, taking control of what lies ahead. Where you want to go, who you you want to be with and what you want to be doing...

  8. Who are the artists that make you feel like the music industry is worth being a part of?

We are inspired by countless artists whose creativity drives the music industry. A few faves at the moment are Róis, Elbow, Romare & Kae Tempest.
