Phantom Wave distorts the sound, and emotion is born.

Phantom Wave is a Brooklyn-based shoegaze trio that produces a powerful, guitar-driven sonic landscape with emotionally uplifting lyrical themes. The three-piece band (Ian Carpenter – vocals/guitar, Yanek Che – bass, and Rachel Fischer – drums) is the fusion of the elements of dream pop, art rock, and alt rock to create their one-of-a-kind "distorted dreamscape" sound. Besides the influence of shoegaze legends like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, Phantom Wave is distinguished by its skill of transforming chaos into tune and noise into charm.
"Echoes Unknown" seems like a trek through indistinct memories and intense feelings.

Phantom Wave does not stop at one layer of fuzz-drenched guitars; they pile on the next layer of the same with their hypnotic rhythms to create a swirling mixture of both, which is, at the same time, powerful and peaceful. The production is beautifully detailed — a wide array of instruments looking like pianos, synths, and percussion that not only provide the tracks with a rhythmic pulse but also with a stunning visual effect. The vocals are faint and indistinct while the drums, with their regular beats, support the dreamlike haze.
