Walking as healing: Mark J Soler turns streets into sound in "Walking in the City".

Inner Life in Motion: Walking in the City Captures Introspection Through Rhythm and Atmosphere

Mark J Soler - Walking in the city

Born, raised, and educated in Lyon, France, Mark J Soler is an independent artist, software engineer, and multi-instrumentalist who writes, composes, performs, and produces his own music from Paris. Influenced by Black American music, jazz-funk, R&B, hip-hop, progressive rock, and even classical composers like Bach, alongside artists such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Pink Floyd, his sound naturally blends groove, depth, and atmosphere.

A reflective instrumental from the EP Walks, where Mark J Soler transforms everyday city walks into a meditative, soul-clearing sonic journey.

Mark J Soler - Walking in the city

This song feels less like a song than like a quiet companion from Mark J Soler. It has a steady, unhurried rhythm that resembles an evening walk - not rushing anywhere, just observing. The production is warm and spacious, giving you room to think. It doesn’t demand attention; it gently keeps you company. This is the kind of track you’d play with your headphones on while walking alone after a long day, maybe in a new city, maybe in your own neighborhood seeing it differently. It reflects a soft kind of introspection, not sadness, not euphoria, just that in-between phase where you’re figuring things out.
