A bold, bass-driven rock song by Shane Duquette, "This Ain’t The Day I Die" is both catchy and timeless.

A rock artist from Sabattus, Shane Duquette, started playing bass guitar at just nine years old. With a little music scene around him, he explored all kinds of genres for inspiration. In high school, he played in concert and jazz bands, and later formed a college rock band called “Mr. Citrus,” which lasted two years.
A bold rock track by Shane Duquette that blends ’90s energy with a fresh indie twist.
The debut track from Hyporadar, “This Ain’t The Day I Die,” is a solo project of Shane Duquette, which was written, recorded, and produced by him in his basement in early 2023, and is a raw, bass-driven blast of ’90s rock energy with a modern indie edge.

The song has a beautiful essence with no guitar approach and is simple yet catchy. It perfectly depicts "Hyporadar" and showcases the influence from Morphine, CAKE, and jazz greats like Victor Wooten with steady drums, grooving baselines, and vocals that are nostalgic but refreshing.
Originally intended for another vocalist, Duquette ended up performing the murky, spoken-word-inspired vocals himself, blending the styles of Mark Sandman and John McCrea. The track quickly became a fan favorite and Duquette’s personal favorite. In 2025, it was remastered by Colin Leonard at SING Mastering, who recognized Hyporadar’s strong potential.
