After nearly three decades in the military, Tony Frissore’s music tells the story of his transformation and growth.

"Just Fade Away" shared the quiet sadness of leaving service behind, while "The Eagle Has Landed" celebrates the new chapter that will follow freedom, the relief, and finding himself again. It’s a completely different phase of a man arriving in a new life, letting go of old burdens, and moving forward with a fresh, uplifting rhythm and a new perspective.
We got a chance to interview Tony for this song, and we found a lot of unspoken tales! Let's get started:
How did you get into the art of making music after serving 3 decades in the military?
I’ve been making music all my life, but for years, it was difficult to find ways to keep at it. I’ve lived around the world, so the gear has changed over the years. I’ve been stable the last few years, which has helped me get the home studio where I’ve always wanted it.
How did this song help you to process the significant emotions of leaving service?
Coming after “Just Fade Away”, which was my way of saying goodbye to my career, “The Eagle Has Landed” is more about the sense of relief that swept over me once I was out—that sense of freedom.
Were there any unexpected challenges or surprises during production? How did this idea come to you? Can you share the story behind the song?
I put my ideas together prior to heading overseas. I did most of the production work on the flights back and forth. Knowing what to pack in advance took some thinking, but I love working on planes because the time passes so quickly.
What’s your favorite part about making music?
Getting locked in. Like I said, time just slips away and, before I know it, several hours have passed and I’m still fiddling with things. I’ve never had anything else hold my attention like music.
Who inspires you most in your music?
I’d say it’s less a who than a what. I want to convey a sound that is befitting the best cocktail lounges and chill bars around the globe. Wherever I am, I Shazam what I hear, be it a rooftop bar in Jakarta or a Shisha Lounge in Dubai. I want my music to create the vibe that I’ve come to love in those types of places.
What impact do you think you intend to make via this release?
I’m feeling more comfortable in the chill trip-hop and lo-fi space, maybe because I’m a little older now. I still like the up-tempo stuff, but I’m enjoying making music that is a little more relaxed.
What do you hope listeners take away from “The Eagle Has Landed”?
Change is good. Time passes, but with change comes growth, and with growth comes freedom.
