Ronnue has released his new EP “Like A Virgin (All the Mixes)”. It is a six-track cover EP. It reimagines Madonna’s 1984 hit. Ronnue brings his signature style and bold creative choices to the forefront. This EP was released on April 14. It serves as both a tribute and reinvention. It highlights Ronnue’s artistic vision and deep rooted love for the decade that shaped his sound.

Ronnue is not new to this game. He has gotten recognition in the indie scene as a fearless artist and producer for the past decade. He has both topped charts and won critical acclaim. In this EP he takes one of pop music’s most recognizable songs and reshapes it into something distinctly his own. The idea for this came from a weekend binge of Madonna’s music videos. What started as a fan moment quickly turned into an artistic mission. Originally, “Like A Virgin” was written by men and was meant to be sung by a male artist. But then, Madonna made it famous. This fact became entry point for Ronnue.

The R&B Updated Mix is smooth and soulful. It is driven by modern production that softens the edges of the original. It also maintains the catchy foundation of the original. It is both introspective and groovy. It gives the lyrics new emotional weight. Meanwhile, the 80's Pop Mix leans towards retro synths and drum machines. The songs were recorded at Seattle’s Orbit Studios with Robbie Houston. His professional polish shines through both the covers.

"These covers are reinterpretations, reflections, and statements."

Ultimately, "Like A Virgin (All the Mixes)" is more than just an homage. It is Ronnue putting his fingerprint on a classic. It is playful and bold and also deeply rooted in his love for 80s pop culture. For fans of reinvention, or retro revival, this is an EP worth spinning.
