"Murder + Gravestone" - A fascinating blend of camp horror and fun.

The young Perth singer-songwriter Kristin Grayden, 23, is definitely right in the center of the spotlight due to the way she fearlessly creates her music. At first, she was known for her peculiar single Wrapped With a Bow, with which she did everything by herself, from writing, producing, and up to the editing of the video, but with this one, she not only showed her creative side but also proved it one more time by being authentic and quite new in music.
"Murder + Gravestone" is a blend of campy horror fun and haunting vulnerability, showcasing Kristin Grayden’s fearless artistry.
On one hand, the two-part single Murder + Gravestone is a very bold step not only for a stylistic change but also for going the bolder and darker way. The primary theme of the song is camp-horror parody, with Lilah, the creator, hilariously unveiling it after each reference to such flicks as The Exorcist and A Nightmare on Elm Street. The track is itself very pleasing and, with its bright and ironic nature, it fans out the crowd's interest. However, Gravestone is a soft and tender song that dwells on themes of lost love and the impermanence of the human condition through its words. Kristin’s power of going from one music style to another without breaking the charm of her storytelling is like having two different people, one of whom is so dominating that one is almost forgetful of her nonexistence in the music scene. It's a must listen.
