Jagas transforms the act of late-night reading into song, saluting those who keep the world out by turning the page.

Jagas is a pop & rock band from France, created in 2012, famous for mixing the art of storytelling in their songs with awareness and elements from international music. The beginnings of the band lie in the long-standing tradition of the 'French chanson,' but the sound has been extended by the use of 'electric guitars, percussion, and modern rhythms.' Collaboration in the process of 'artistic creation’ happens in the band Jagas, with 'every song an emotional space.' While performing, the band keeps its sincerity, thus turning its performances into occasions.
"Les livres de Marion" is described as a novel written at night, shifting softly between moments of cosiness and subtle strength.

The opening portion has a dreamlike quality with a music box sound and gentle voices. The introduction of drums and electric bass adds energy and weight to the composition while maintaining a feeling of warmth and light. Marion's freedom does not appear suddenly or with great enthusiasm; instead, she gains her freedom through her imagination, her solitary time, and through the reading process itself. The way in which Jagas has created a modern-day waltz allows for the atmosphere and lyrics to be the focal point of the song.
