Folk meets feeling in "Intersection" by Michellar. It is a song that proves that Love at First Sight still has a soundtrack.

Michellar has released a new song "Intersection". This song is produced by Tobias Wilson. It is the first song by Michellar in this genre.
At the heart of "Intersection" is a story of love at first sight. A spontaneous, serendipitous connection unfolds in a moment of chaos or danger. Michellar wrote this song during a difficult emotional period, using it as a form of personal escapism. As a result of this, this song is filled with hopeful imagery and wistful energy. These are tied together by delicate acoustic instrumentation and layered vocals provided by Wilson himself.

"There is an almost cinematic quality to the way the song unfolds."
"Intersection" evokes the feeling of standing still in time while the world rushes around you. It is like waiting to see if the universe will pause long enough to make something meaningful happen. The banjo and acoustic guitar arrangement keeps the song grounded in folk tradition. Along with this, Michellar's lyrical storytelling brings a poetic vulnerability to the surface.
"Intersection" is not just a song. It is a moment captured between two strangers, filled with possibility and charged emotion. For a debut in the Americana folk space, the offering by Michellar is heartfelt, deliberate, and a clear sign of her evolving artistry.
We got a chance to interview Michellar for this song, and we found a lot of unspoken tales! Let's get started:
"Intersection" is your first Americana folk release. What drew you to this genre?
I love the combination of sounds of the banjo and acoustic guitar and the rhythm that often is happy and energetic. This is what drew me to this genre.
The story is rooted in love at first sight. Why was that the theme you wanted to explore?
I am a romantic by heart. I always felt that the theme was magical.
How did working with Tobias Wilson shape the final sound of the song?
He nailed it. After describing to him the scene and the atmosphere of the sound I was looking for, he absolutely delivered with flying colors. He was challenged by my vision and he captured it to the very Tee through my direction. We have created something we are very proud of. I am so happy for that.
You mentioned writing this during a difficult period. Did creating the song help you process those feelings?
Yes.. writing this song brought me out of a depressed state in my life at the time.
Is there a lyric from "Intersection" that you are especially proud of?
I love the chorus… because it just paints a pretty hectic picture of fleeting love with a touch of danger and carefree-ness just like in the movies.
How do you think audiences will interpret the story in the song?
I think the audience will see themselves in a cinematic atmosphere of love in its most vulnerable, sweetened romantic, and chaotic state.
Are you planning to explore more Americana songs in future projects?
Yes, I am planning on exploring more American songs. I actually have one scheduled to be released in August. “ LOVE ME FAIR.”
What is next for you? Can fans expect a full EP or album soon?
I am being careful about releasing just the right amount of music of the highest quality in a Latin-influenced EP, so …. it is on the horizon … and is still in the works.
