“Evil Person” by Kaytie — The sound of a friendship falling apart.

“Evil Person” is a friendship fallout turned into a fearless anthem of release.
Kaytie

KAYTIE‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is a 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and pianist from Cincinnati, Ohio. After learning classical piano and possessing the gift of being a great storyteller, she began writing songs at the age of 12, and now she holds more than 350 original songs in her creative works. KAYTIE has more than 15 works already released, through which she shares the stories of her life — from the fall of a friendship to getting up again.

“Evil Person” by KAYTIE is an emotionally charged but very restrained, unfiltered confrontation.

It is based on a very effective piano line and is about the betrayal that hurts, and the sweet clarity that comes afterwards. Her vocal expression is a mixture of weakness and strength, and thus she invites the audience into that hurricane which she has experienced but survived. The last change of the key from D minor to E minor is very dramatic and can be interpreted as the breaking point — the moment of the final surge when the hurt turns into power. What sets this song apart from the rest of the songs in her genre is the emotional authenticity that comes through in the lyrics; it is not about revenge, but about release. KAYTIE makes heartbreak and the fall of a friendship the cause of something beautifully human — a song that does not lie in the dirt, but rises.
