DUOMO: Architect of orchestral funeral trap.

“Phantom” by DUOMO- “Music that feels less heard and more inhabited.”

“Phantom” by DUOMO

DUOMO is a solo artist who works in the space between the darkness of trap and the orchestral. His style brings together the heavy piping organs, ghost choruses, dark strings, and simple trap drums to create a rich environment of epic scope. As opposed to the radio-friendly production style, DUOMO chooses a path that is heavy on atmosphere and emotion. Taking inspiration from the classical tradition, horror art, and ritualistic concepts, the production style is not really one that focuses on the beat itself.

“Phantom” is more an odyssey than a traditional track, a slow and ominous build into the dark majesty.

“Phantom” by DUOMO

From the thrumming pipe organs, ubiquitous choirs, and metered traps, this is one track which develops with a measured slowness, allowing tension to breathe and simmer. Rather than banking on hooks, DUOMO prefers to simply let the atmosphere carry the listener through their soundscape, with the percussive elements thudding erratically through the orchestral compositions, all-building tension and unstoppable momentum. A cinematically sprawling and solemn, “Phantom” holds the identity of an artist who is more concerned with immersion than with resonance, an artist who is concerned not with the consumption, but with the experience.
