“Vaya Con Dios” - Music that breathes, bends, and trusts the moment it’s born in.

Ashley Ray Simon, a British musician now living in Portugal, creates music based on emotion rather than technicality. With his eagerly-awaited new single ‘Vaya Con Dios’, Lisbon’s Ashley Ray Simon invites us back to an earlier chapter of his creative life as a reclamation of the artist he once was. In creating their albums, Ashley has worked with record producer Rohin Brown (of Dope Lemon) and incorporates the organic approach of recording analogue, creating unquantized rhythms and human and mechanical grooves.
Vaya Con Dios is a true piece of art in that silence and space play an important role in the creation of this masterpiece.

The artist chose not to overplay the dramatic tension throughout the piece; rather, they allowed the music to evolve, building up atmospheric layers and textures. Using live recordings and analogue equipment to create the overall sound of this piece lends an incredible amount of authenticity to the music itself; you can hear how there is a "live" sound to this song. This song will never grow old and will continue to provide an ever-maturing level of depth in terms of meaning and feeling.
