Where the Old Traditions Meet the Blaze and Friendship Power the Music

Blues Corner was essentially the product of the first meeting of Phil Roman and Seb Oroval, two lifelong friends who shared their blues and hearts. After being immersed in the music industry in England for years, Phil came back to France in 2021 and decided to follow his dream with all his heart, and that is how the band came about with Seb, a self-taught musician who had been influenced by the blues greats from the old traditions. Under the guidance of their producer, Bruno Dandrimont, in the studio, the band laid down tracks of their latest record at La Battamobile.
"ALL WHAT WE ARE "is more than an album; it is a multi-sensory jazz journey into the inner world of blues music.
Spreading over two discs, Blues Corner delves into rhythm, sound, and heritage with an unshakable truth and courage. The songs are flavoured with the rustic and emotional music of the Mississippi Delta and have the energetic Texas blues, rock swagger that makes them feel so familiar and cared for to the listener.
The journey starts with "Set Me Free. " The song starts with a strong, groovy and shiny feeling, and through it, a time portal to the great era of blues is opened, reminding one of the unforgettable performances of blues music legends such as Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, and Bo Diddley. The rhythm of the swing and the attitude of the rock make it a very energetic and lively track that will make you dance and will have a lot of life in it.
What's Good What's Bad comes next with a blast of rock n roll energy that is sharp and assured. At the same time, The Blues Are About Giving "All That We Are" is more inclined to the classic rock spirit and thus embeds the album's philosophy right into the lyrics. It is music created with full emotional commitment.
Taking a more relaxed approach, Stone in My Shoe and Piggy Back Blues unveil the band's capacity for expression. Their tempos are intentionally slow to provide more space for rough, textured vocals to tell a rustic, country, folk narrative.
Soulfulness heightens through Double Screen, Blues Paradise, and Leaving For Real. Each song gradually comes to life with the vocals laying bare the innermost feelings that are then further supported by the addition of deeply engrossing instrumental sounds. The mood surrounds you; the blues here are alive and stay with you.
Disc Two turns to lively and powerful tracks. Two numbers, "Highway of Love" and "Rock n Rolling", radiate a cool, soulful vibe that reminds one of the early days of the Rolling Stones.
Comes a thoughtful change with "I'm Smashed" and "Train Passing By. " They represent happy country blues of the soul, deeply touching and naturally flowing with an underlying philosophy.
On a final note, "Our Legacy" and "4 Guys on the Road" stand as a heartfelt farewell and deeply Classic Rock as well as personal to the point that the lyrics feel like a diary. Moving along with feelings of love and nostalgia, these songs depict the idea of brotherhood, travel, and passion for music. It is an ending at dusk with the road ahead, free, not looking for any kind of destination.
Throughout its whole length, ALL WHAT WE ARE stands for Blues Corner not being the ones to follow popular fashions; instead, they are paying tribute to the traditions of lineage. This is a blues album made for love, not for a show. It is honest, appealing, and very soulful that it is an album which reminds us of the reason why blues don't ever become old, they change and are carried on by those who are most sincere about them.
