Alan Mair is back with a new energy in the haunting single “Ghost Of You In Me.”

Alan Mair intertwines the themes of love, death, and legacy with his new single, giving the listener the impression that it is both intimate and timeless.
Alan Mair

In addition to a lot of things, one of the most important things for which he was singled out was the creation of alternative rock, and he has been a terrific source of motivation for bands like Nirvana, Blur, and The Libertines. This track is a solo work as Mair alone did the writing, vocals, production, and performance. However, the brilliant lead guitar played by Zal Cleminson is the only exception. Mair’s vocals and strings create a dream-like ambience, captivating the listener and giving the song’s haunting storyline a new height.

Through "Ghost Of You In Me", Alan Mair keeps telling us why we still need his music: it is never dated, full of feelings, and very much like a human being.

The song, in composition and concept, focuses on the idea of love’s ghostly hold on us even after it has been lost or separated. Mair says that if you love someone to the core, even after they leave you or die, the spirit of that person can still be with you on the side of music. The complex rock swirls and gorgeous instrumentation give the track an anthem overall tone, but in the middle of it all, there is a basic, vulnerable moment. It does not show the artist’s grief, but rather his strength through love’s power to stay eternal.
